Local Restaurant To Appear on Food Network
San Antonio′s Dough Pizzeria Featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives

San Antonio, TX (Feb. 1, 2011) – Dough Pizzeria, a popular local restaurant owned by Doug and Lori Horn, was filmed to be featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.  The show, airing on the Food Network, stars Guy Fieri and features his travels around America as he stops by popular local eateries and showcases the best of what these restaurants have to offer.


The episode will highlight owner and chef, Doug Horn′s unique Neapolitan cooking techniques and give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at how food is selected and prepared at Dough Pizzeria.


Dough Pizzeria adheres to strict guidelines in both preparation and cooking to retain the designation of authentic Napoletana pizza, a certification issued by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana based in Naples, Italy.  Fresh ingredients from local farms and vendors are the heart of every menu item and the pizza is cooked on an authentic pizza oven that traveled to Dough on three ships all the way from Naples, Italy.


Doug and his wife, Lori, own Dough Pizzeria and are both zealous pizza aficionados bringing years of experience in food, wine and hospitality to Dough.  Doug graduated from the prestigious Culinary Institute of America at the top of his class and has been in the upper echelon of cookery ever since.  Lori has an extensive background in international hospitality and restaurant/entertainment concierge service.


Since opening in November 2007, Dough Pizzeria has been featured in Food & Wine Magazine in an article titled “New Pizza Artisans,” Texas Monthly Magazine, where it was voted the Second Best New Restaurant in the State of Texas and Zagat-rated Best Food in San Antonio.  In “The Search for America′s Best Pizzeria” article, in Everyday

Dough Pizzeria Napoletana is located in the Blanco Junction Shopping Center, San Antonio, Texas, and is open Monday-Saturday 11:00 a.m. – close and Sunday′s 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
